Candy store, boardwalk and beach anyone?

The best part about my job HANDS DOWN is photographing families year after year and watching their babies grow right in front of my camera. Not only is it an honor to be chosen time and time again, but when they are always willing to travel to you, it makes it all the more special. Last year, Shawn, her daughter Rilynn and I ventured out to Pawley’s Island, SC for their session while I was in town visiting family. It ended up being one of my favorite sessions of the entire year. I just love them so much and I’m so thankful they were brought into my life!

This year, her boyfriend Brett joined us and it was so amazing to watch her little family grow. His connection with Rilynn was so special to watch and I told her I can’t wait to see where they are in life for next summer’s adventures! We are thinking of traveling to Wilmington or Charleston! What was one an online work relationship has now blossomed into one of the most special friendships!

When we started the session, we headed to the famous Myrtle Beach boardwalk! It is such a cute little spot with tons of cute food, drinks, beach and of course the SkyWheel! We danced around, ate ice cream and laughed for an entire hour (not even kidding). Afterwards, we drove about 30mins away and headed to the sand dunes on the beach! The gorgeous soft light was so dreamy. We photographed all of Rilynn’s favorite outfits and enjoyed the beautiful pink sky at the end of the session. It was the perfect ending to our adventure (nothing I love more than an amazing sunset on the beach).

The friendships I develop with my clients are so important to me. Some of my best lifetime friends were once my clients! I wouldn’t trade that part of the job for anything. Enjoy their beautiful gallery! I hope this gives you some ideas to venture out for our next session together!
